This is a four day camp that is designed to prepare campers for competition on the Flag / Youth Football and High School Football level.  The camp will focus on the skills necessary to be successful on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.  Campers will learn proper training habits and will have the opportunity to work with current and former Woodland Hawks players and coaches.  The camp is open to current 2-8 graders and incoming high school freshmen. No prior football playing experience is necessary.  
 
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Pickle Ball: Thursday - Thursday: 10am - 12pm
 Pickleball is a paddle sport (similar to a racquet sport) that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net.

3:30 PM - 4:30 PM    Arts In CT: Tumbling Classes - Tumbling Classes
45 min-This class will focus on developing body awareness, motor skills, balance, coordination, and spatial and perception skills.  The key difference between the two classes is that the parent will nearly always be hands-on with the youngest toddlers, while the confident walkers can do more activities with spotting or just a watchful eye.   The typical skills covered in toddler tumbling include mastering different:  Sitting positions such as the straddle, tuck, and pike, two-foot jumping skills, think: bunny hop and frog jump, rolls- from log rolls to forward rolls.
 
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Dance Lessons: Adult Tap & Jazz/Hip-hop - Adult Jazz and Tap/Hip Hop
This class will consist of a 30 minute segment of tap and 30 minute segment of jazz/hip hop. A fun way to get exercise. Anyone over 18 and first time dancers are welcome.We need 8 people to run this class.
 
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Arts In CT: Photography Classes-ADULT - Photography Classes
Students learn control techniques.  Students work with various format cameras and explore photographic color theory.  The beginner photography course will help you understand the basics of light and how your eye fixes lighting. How to get your camera to catch what our eye sees to produce better pictures.  The tutorials will also help you understand your camera and how to take pictures with it.Min 6 students Max 20

This 45 minute class includes songs, rhythmic chants, movement, and instrument play.  Infants up to age five attend classes together with a parent or caregiver.  All our activities are presented as informal, non-performance-oriented musical experiences.  The curriculum is specifically designed for young children and encourages lots of parent/caregiver participation, regardless of musical ability.

Participants will learn the basics of tap and ballet. Basics include coordination and creative movements with music. There will be 30 min of tap and 30 min of ballet. If there is enough time at the end of class, children will be given the opportunity to do tumbling on the mats. This is a fun opportunity for children to explore the art of dance.Needed for class: Pink Ballet Shoes (not pointe shoes) and Standard Black Tap Shoes (no heel) No baggy clothing—preferably tights, leotard, jazz pants, etc.Max 12 Students

AKC STAR Puppy Class-Saturday mornings beginning 06/22/2019 from 9:30a-10:30a and a second class starting at 10:45am-11:45am for all mixed and purebred dogs under 1 yr old (if over 1 yr old they can take this class but would not be eligible for the AKC certificate).  This is a beginner class.Practicing the Basics Class- Tuesday evenings beginning 06/11/2019 from 6:00p-7:00p for dogs that have completed a beginner class.Please join Janis Copes from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Work at your pace and ability.)This 45 minute class is a combination of low intensity cardio, strength training (light weights), stretching and toning all set to music from the 50's and 60's!This is a great class to add to your current activities and is meant for all Seniors at all fitness levels.  Most of the class is done standing.  There are a few times we sit and work with the weights while sitting in a chair. This is a fun class that will leave you energized and feeling strong!Bring light hand weights and water to each class.There will be a maximum of 16 people for this class.

We will work at the barre, move to the mat and incorporate hand weights (your own) into the exercises for an all over strengthen and tone routine.  You will definitely get a great all over body workout as well as some cardio.  Please bring a yoga mat and hand weights to class.

Participants will enjoy a combination of energizing music and a fun new cycling experience now offered by Prospect Parks and Recreation.  You are in charge of your workout, push yourself to the limit or ease back and enjoy a ride with your group. Senior Get Fit Class (Seniors at all fitness levels. Work at your pace and ability.)This 45 minute class is a combination of low intensity cardio, strength training (light weights), stretching and toning all set to music from the 50's and 60's!This is a great class to add to your current activities and is meant for all Seniors at all fitness levels.  Most of the class is done standing.  There are a few times we sit and work with the weights while sitting in a chair. This is a fun class that will leave you energized and feeling strong!Bring light hand weights and water to each class.There will be a maximum of 16 people for this class.

This program is designed for the person who is currently competing and wants to do even better at their next competiton. There is one full hour of straight footwork and one full hour of open guided fencing. Serious fencers who are currently competing are encouraged to participate. This program will improve your footwork and better maintain your level of energy while working with your teammates. This Class is for COMPETING members only and must be approved by Coach Sandra to take this class.

This is not a dance class!  No tutus required!Pilates tone/core/barre is a great new class designed to tone your muscles, strengthen your core and work your body at the barre.  This class is 45 minutes. We will work at the barre, move to the mat and incorporate hand weights (your own) into the exercises for an all over strengthen and tone routine.  You will definitely get a great all over body workout as well as some cardio.  Please bring a yoga mat and hand weights to class.

AKC STAR Puppy Class-Saturday mornings beginning 06/22/2019 from 9:30a-10:30a and a second class starting at 10:45am-11:45am for all mixed and purebred dogs under 1 yr old (if over 1 yr old they can take this class but would not be eligible for the AKC certificate).  This is a beginner class.Practicing the Basics Class- Tuesday evenings beginning 06/11/2019 from 6:00p-7:00p for dogs that have completed a beginner class.Please join Janis Copes from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Participants will learn the basics of tap and ballet. Basics include coordination and creative movements with music. There will be 30 min of tap and 30 min of ballet. In these exciting and educational programs, participants will use a wide variety of mediums such as LEGO, ESTED, KEVA, and recycled materials to learn about, plan, and build projects such as hydroelectric water wheels, model rockets, bridges and roller coasters!  With activities and topics including mechanical engineering, chemical reactions, reverse engineering, and environmental science, participants are sure to have a blast while learning along the way.  In addition, participants will take home some of the projects they complete such as model rockets, reverse-engineered devices, and 3-D architectural models!

AKC STAR Puppy Class-Saturday mornings beginning 06/22/2019 from 9:30a-10:30a and a second class starting at 10:45am-11:45am for all mixed and purebred dogs under 1 yr old (if over 1 yr old they can take this class but would not be eligible for the AKC certificate).  This is a beginner class.Practicing the Basics Class- Tuesday evenings beginning 06/11/2019 from 6:00p-7:00p for dogs that have completed a beginner class.Please join Janis Copes from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and Bordetella are also recommended.  Proof of Rabies vaccination is required prior to the first class.  No dog will be allowed in class without up-to-date Rabies vaccination. Equipment required:  Flat buckle collar or front clip harness (no choke, prong or e-collars allowed), 6 foot leash and yummy treats.MAX (4) DOGSALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND CERTIFICATE OF RABIES MUST BE GIVEN TO THE PARK & RECREATION OFFICE BEFORE THE 1ST CLASS.

Senior Get Fit Class (Seniors at all fitness levels. Work at your pace and ability.)This 45 minute class is a combination of low intensity cardio, strength training (light weights), stretching and toning all set to music from the 50's and 60's!This is a great class to add to your current activities and is meant for all Seniors at all fitness levels.  Most of the class is done standing.  There are a few times we sit and work with the weights while sitting in a chair. This is not a dance class!  No tutus required!Pilates tone/core/barre is a great new class designed to tone your muscles, strengthen your core and work your body at the barre.  This class is 45 minutes. We will work at the barre, move to the mat and incorporate hand weights (your own) into the exercises for an all over strengthen and tone routine.  You will definitely get a great all over body workout as well as some cardio.  Please bring a yoga mat and hand weights to class.

AKC STAR Puppy Class-Saturday mornings beginning 06/22/2019 from 9:30a-10:30a and a second class starting at 10:45am-11:45am for all mixed and purebred dogs under 1 yr old (if over 1 yr old they can take this class but would not be eligible for the AKC certificate).  This is a beginner class.Practicing the Basics Class- Tuesday evenings beginning 06/11/2019 from 6:00p-7:00p for dogs that have completed a beginner class.Please join Janis Copes from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Participants will learn the basics of tap and ballet. Basics include coordination and creative movements with music. There will be 30 min of tap and 30 min of ballet. If there is enough time at the end of class, children will be given the opportunity to do tumbling on the mats. This is a fun opportunity for children to explore the art of dance.Needed for class: Pink Ballet Shoes (not pointe shoes) and Standard Black Tap Shoes (no heel) No baggy clothing—preferably tights, leotard, jazz pants, etc.Max 12 Students

AKC STAR Puppy Class-Saturday mornings beginning 06/22/2019 from 9:30a-10:30a and a second class starting at 10:45am-11:45am for all mixed and purebred dogs under 1 yr old (if over 1 yr old they can take this class but would not be eligible for the AKC certificate).  This is a beginner class.Practicing the Basics Class- Tuesday evenings beginning 06/11/2019 from 6:00p-7:00p for dogs that have completed a beginner class.Please join Janis Copes from Escape the Crate, LLC for this informative 6 week  course designed to help you, the handler, learn how to get the behavior you want from your dog using positive reinforcement techniques.  These classes will give you the tools for solving problems such as housebreaking, chewing, mouthing, jumping and more.  Lessons will include teaching sit, down, come, stay, walk on loose lead, and interact with people without jumping. The goal is to teach your dog to be a polite family member.Advanced registration is required. No refunds are given for classes missed.  Dogs are required to be vaccinated against rabies as per CT State Law. Vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, parainfluenza, and Bordetella are also recommended.  Proof of Rabies vaccination is required prior to the first class.  No dog will be allowed in class without up-to-date Rabies vaccination. Equipment required:  Flat buckle collar or front clip harness (no choke, prong or e-collars allowed), 6 foot leash and yummy treats.MAX (4) DOGSALL REGISTRATION FORMS AND CERTIFICATE OF RABIES MUST BE GIVEN TO THE PARK & RECREATION OFFICE BEFORE THE 1ST CLASS.
